B. Ware Android by Steve Knox

This is another extraordinary piece by Mister PointBlizzy himself, Steve Knox. This piece is a caracature illustration of my brother, B. Ware who also is the publisher of ANANSI magazine. This piece was done for an album cover for the upcoming single "Android" by B. Ware. Because of the hotness of this piece this "character" will end up being a feature character of the upcoming ANANSI magazine series "Bad Boyz" written by B. Ware. Steve you never cease to amaze. As always you bring the HOT DYLAHN FIYA!!!

War Chief by Shawn Alleyne

This incredible piece was illustrated by Shawn Alleyne. The detail in the sketching and inking is some of the best I've ever seen. The imagery tells a thousand stories in and of itself. This character's story is being written as we speak in a collaborative project between Shawn Alleyne and yours truly, Will Fisk. This story is going to be epic in magnitude from its very nature. Shawn, thank you for the opportunity to write this story. This one has the potential of being Anansi Magazine's biggest projects to date. All hail...the War Chief!

What is Urbani (pronounced er-bah-nee)?

What is Urbani (pronounced er-bah-nee)? Urbani is the culture of Black graphic storytelling, Black Science Fiction and Urban Fantasy. It is a lifestyle based around the ancient art of the visual story. Black people of the world have been telling stories in visual form since the beginning of time. From the heiroglyphs of Ancient Kemet to the graffiti art of the South Bronx, Black people have been telling their visual stories to teach lessons, give insight into life, show truths of the spiritual world and tell tales of great heroes and diabolical villians. Black people have painted pictures of drama, action, suspense, sorrow, love, vengeance, humor, mystery and fantasy since the beginning of time. This magazine is the beginning of a culture, a way of life for the modern-day visual griot and those that enjoy a good story that reflects the deepest and most outrageous levels of imagination of those living the hip-hop lifestyle. Now the element of hip-hop culture known as graffiti can expand itself even further. The graffiti artist, the urban visual artist, the emcee, the street poet, the Black writer and the lover of stories told from this unique perspective can unite for the creation of a new culture, a new lifestyle. This new way of life is called Urbani!
